Beautiful blouses with embellished collars were paired with high waisted shorter than short shorts, pastel petals printed onto sheer blouses and matching flowing skirts, more of the recurring fifties silhouette, add some feathers, peplum skirts and a flash of fluorescent yellow and pink and you have Jason Wu's Spring Summer 2012 collection.
What a pretty sight it is, hair was pinned up with thin black feathers - I love this style but I think I'll try it sans feathers first. The shapes in the collection were classic - flattering a woman's body but Wu pushed them into new realms, teaming full length red carpet skirts with a caped sleeve top that could be easily worn to work. Models were encased with layer after layer of silk in the final few dresses of the show, the whole thing just exuded glamour. But ladies - don't let the full skirts fool you, stay away from those mince pies if you want to rock a pair of hotpants come spring.
