The Burberry Prorsum show, as usual, drew fashions finest into the beautiful (although slightly unusual location for a fashion show) Kensington Garden tent. Alexa Chung, Clemence Poesy, Eddie Redmayne, Rosey Huntington Whitely, Mario Testino and Wil.I.Am made up some of the audience watching the stunning models stroll down the catwalk, including Cara Delvigne (and her gorgeous brows) who stars in the current Burberry campaign alongside Eddie Redmayne.
The collection was classic and very English - tweed & skirts were paired with woolen tights and sweet fringed leather boots. Bows and peplum skirts highlighted nipped in waists creating very womanly figures. Victorian influenced jackets were embellished with tweed panels. The whole collection was very Downton Abbey, but lots of bright accessories - canary yellow gloves embellished with feather like sequins, lots of studs and owl printed t-shirts dragged the show back into the 21st century.
Before the final walk clashes of thunder sounded inside while rain poured down the sides of the tent surprising the audience, followed by silver foil falling and beautifully catching the light. The models walked in for the last time, each sheltered under alternate plain and striped umbrellas in muted tones reflecting the hues of the collection.
